If you don't have the new Heartless Bastards album "Arrow", we ask that you stop what you're doing and go pick it up now. You can thank us later. http://amzn.to/LrnL00
We had the band come in for what would be our official first Secret Show that included local favorites UME and Moonlight Towers. We were so happy to have them at Frank that we made a special one of a kind poster we gave out at the show. We actually have a few left you could get here: http://bit.ly/LrobUe
We didn't announce this show until the day of. It was like throwing bits of bread down in a park, and being swarmed by birds. Our home turf, Frank (http://bit.ly/MYTxx1) was packed within an hour of announcing the show. It was such a rare moment to see Heartless Bastards play in such an intimate setting. Also, getting to capture that on Super 8 was a blast. We actually had so much fun we decided to shoot them again at their upcoming gig at La Zona Rosa here in Austin the following month.
BONUS TRACK!

These photos were shot by our friendly neighborhood Lomographers Cameron Russell and Marshall Foster. These were the first of our Diana F+ Portrait pictures that used a close up lens and a Ring flash. There are also some cool double exposures where you see two images in the shot. It was really fun to get to do a photo shoot where the band wanted to know what each of the cameras did. Heartless Bastards were really fun to work with and being big fans of theirs it was even more fun to photograph and film them.
Check out the gear we used and if you have questions about shots you can direct them to questions@transistorsix.com . We will feature some of them on our Facebook pages with answers. Please be specific about the photo in question and we will try to get back to you.
