We had the absolute pleasure of having We Are Augustines in for a session and we have to say we had no idea how cool they would be as people (we all knew the music was great). Taking a little survey among our small crew we all felt we met as strangers and left feeling like friends. This seems to be the common theme with this band as they make their way around the world in support of their album Rise Ye Sunken Shipshttp://amzn.to/LA6mxw
Because of the limited time the band had we only got a few photos using our Lomography LC-A+ and Diana F+ with the Instant Back The band had to get out but we sent them a camera loaded with film and are expecting the shots from the road soon! Check out the gear we used and if you have questions about shots you can direct them to email@example.com. We will feature some of them on our Facebook pages with answers. Please be specific about the photo in question and we will try to get back to you.
We wanted the film for "Chapel Song" to be special and as it might feel cliché to have wedding chapel footage cut in we wanted to somehow show the unity of the human spirit vs the organized formality. So what better way then a party, a 1960's wedding party shot on 8mm film in the basement of a house in Morton, Pennsylvania. We hope you enjoy our take on the song and share it with your friends!
